General Government and Council

Twelve-member Counties Council governs the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. The Council comprises of the Mayors or each lower-tier municipality along with the Deputy Mayor or a Counties Council Representative appointed by the respective lower-tier Council. As well, each year Counties Council elects one of its own members to sit as Counties Warden.

Representing South Dundas at Counties Council are Mayor Lyle VanAllen and Councillor Johnny Whitteker.

The United Counties has a full complement of administration to administer the Counties' services.
