Provincial Offences Administration

On behalf of the lower-tier municipalities and the City of Cornwall, the United Counties administers the Provincial Offences Act program. The program deals with fines and prosecutions under the Provincial Offences Act. It collects fines and processes payments, and administers POA Court to hear prosecutions under the Act.

Revenues received from fines and penalties are used to pay for the service, and any surplus is contributed to offset the costs of Counties services.
