Delegations

If you have a matter that you wish to discuss with Council relating to municipal policy, you may register as a delegation to present your matter before Council. You must register with the Municipal Clerk prior to 4:00 pm on the Thursday before the Council meeting. If the agenda is already full, you may have to wait for a subsequent meeting. It is recommended that you discuss your matter with the Municipal Clerk or the Chief Administrative Officer prior to registered as a delegation.

How to Register: Please contact the Municipal Clerk at 613-535-2673 during regular business hours or by email at mail@southdundas.com. You will be required to state the purpose of your delegation and provide any information available.

A delegation should not take more than five (5) minutes. Council may decide not to hear a delegation if it is a repeat delegation or if the matter is irrelevant or frivolous. If your delegation expects a decision, it will likely not happen until Council has had an opportunity to research and analyze the matter.
