Finance

The South Dundas Finance Department is responsible for long-term financial planning, annual budget development, investment management, general accounting, treasury and cash management and all statutory financial report.

The department is primarily responsible for managing all financial transactions and accounting issues for municipal departments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ensuring that all resources and assets are coordinated and conducted cost-effectively for its efficient operation. The department also calculates and levies property taxes, processes payments for items such as licenses, permits and fines and manages the payroll system for the Municipality’s employees.

The Finance Department also prepares the Municipality's annual budget which is passed by Council and determines the Municipal tax rate each year. 

Financial Reports

Consolidated financial statements reflect the municipality’s assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses. As required by the Municipal Act, financial statements are prepared annually. The previous audited financial statements can be found below.
