Today, Mayor Broad and CAO Mills met with the Tesla Charging Project team that worked to install the 8 Super Chargers at MacEwen location in Morrisburg. What is typically an 18-month project, was completed in 3-months due to the amazing teamwork between MacEwen, Tesla, RSL and South Dundas.
"The Tesla Charging Project Team that worked to install 8 Super Chargers at the McEwen's Location in Morrisburg were very pleased to have worked with MacEwen, the Municipality of South Dundas and Rideau St. Lawrence (RSL) Distribution," said Mayor Broad.
Mayor Broad further mentioned, "Credit to our planning department and the team at RSL. Way to go, to impress an outside vendor! The location is averaging 60-80 vehicle charges per day. This project has resulted in an increase of visitors to our community, that would not have stopped here if not for owning an electric vehicle and South Dundas having a charging option. As a shareholder/owner in RSL, this really is a win, win for our community."
