Matilda Landfill
The Matilda Landfill is the sole operational landfill in the Municipality of South Dundas. The Landfill accepts the majority of waste materials as outlined in the fee schedule. Items that are not permitted at the Matilda Landfill include Household Hazardous Waste. *Landfill closed on all statutory holidays.*

Leaf & Yard Waste
South Dundas hosts Leaf & Yard Waste Drop-off Days each year to offer composting options for residents.
Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Leaf & Yard Waste Drop-off Days will accept leaf and yard clippings, flowers and small shrubbery.
A reminder that large branches, brush and wood are NOT accepted at the Leaf & Yard Waste Drop-off Days and must be brought to the Matilda Landfill. Dumping garbage, compostable materials, leaf and yard waste or branches at the Public Works Garage outside of the Leaf & Yard Waste Drop-off Days is not acceptable.
The Matilda Landfill accepts two free 60-liter cans of wood, branches, and twigs (with a maximum branch diameter of up to six inches) per day. Any extra yard waste can be taken in for $10 for the day with a receipt. The Matilda Landfill is open Tuesday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed Sunday and Monday at 10815 Seibert Road, Iroquois.
