Award Criteria

• Agricultural Leadership Award

  This award recognizes outstanding achievements that have made a positive impact to South Dundas’ agriculture industry. Nominees can be individuals, companies, institutions, not-for profit organizations or agencies.

  Nominees should be able to demonstrate achievement in any of the following areas:

  • Increase in agricultural production
  • Increase consumption of local products
  • Introduced a new product or process
  • Increase in development, sales and marketing
  • Community service
  • Innovations in operations and technology use
  • Ways the business/individual(s) support the South Dundas Agricultural Community

   

• Business of the Year Award

  This award recognizes an outstanding Business in South Dundas.

  Nominees should be able to demonstrate notable achievements or milestones in the following areas:

  • Years in business
  • Sales growth percentage
  • Product expansions
  • Capital Investment
  • High service quality
  • Workplace environment
  • Employee recognition
  • Training programs
  • Increase in staffing levels
  • Notable awards, designations, or charitable and community contributions
• Green Award

  This award recognizes an individual, group or business for their outstanding contributions to the Environment within the community.

  Nominees should be able to demonstrate achivement the following areas:

  • Executed an idea, process or initiative in the area of sustainability
  • Environmental education
  • Environmental advocacy
  • Green infrastructure or
  • Environmental restoration
• Innovation Award

  The Innovation Award recognizes the successful introduction of an idea, process or initiative that has proven to make a genuine difference or positive impact on an organization or the community.

  Nominees should be able to demonstrate achievement the following areas:

  • An innovative idea, process or initiative that has proven to make a genuine difference on an organization or a positive impact in the community
  • Developed an innovative product or service
• New Business Award

  The award recognizes a New Business that has made a positive impact in the South Dundas business community.

  Nominees should be able to:

  • Demonstrate some key business results or successes that the business has had since opening
  • Have used an innovative approach to running the new business
• Tourism Award

  This Award recognizes an individual, group or business for their outstanding contributions to Tourism in the community and providing a unique and quality visitor experience.

  Nominees should be able to demonstrate achievement the following areas:

  • 1) Contributed to the tourism sector in South Dundas
  • 2) Acted as an ambassador for the South Dundas community
• Young Professionals Award

  The Young Professional Award recognizes a person under the age of 40 who has made an outstanding contribution to their organization, shows excellence in their chosen field and/or has had an impact on their community through community involvement.

  Nominees should be able to demonstrate:

  • A list of professional accomplishments/contributions to their company and be able to note how they have demonstrated leadership within the workplace and/or within the community
• Youth Community Builder Award (Individual)

  This award is given to a younger citizen of the Municipality of South Dundas to recognize special contributions to their community. Must be 18 years of age or younger as of December 31. Demonstrated Leadership and Dedication towards the community - Participated as a Volunteer regularly in community projects.

• Youth Community Builder Award (Group/Organization)

  This award is given to a group of younger citizens of the Municipality of South Dundas to recognize special contributions to their community. Must be 18 years of age or younger as of December 31. Demonstrated Leadership and Dedication towards the community - Participated as volunteers regularly in community projects.

• Adult Community Builder Award (Individual)

  This Award recognizes an individual for their outstanding contributions to the community, by providing inspiration, leadership and/or positive action that has improved the community for everyone.

• Adult Community Builder Award (Group/Organization)

  This Award recognizes a group or business for their outstanding contributions to the community, by providing inspiration, leadership and/or positive action that has improved the community for everyone.
