The South Dundas Council is made up of a Mayor, Deputy Mayor and three Councillors. The current term of Council was elected in the fall of 2018 and will serve until the fall of 2022. The job of municipal councils is to make decisions about municipal financing and services. The Municipality and Council are regulated by the Municipal Act which is a consolidated statute governing the extent of powers and duties, internal organization and structure of municipalities in Ontario.
