South Dundas participates in the Township of North Dundas' Hazardous Waste Disposal Program, which offers disposal services for hazardous materials for residents of Dundas County.
Residents of Dundas County are encouraged to bring household hazardous waste items such as waste oil, batteries, insecticides, pool chemicals and propane tanks to the Boyne Road Hazardous Waste Facility to safely dispose of them.
Household hazardous waste is described as materials that are corrosive, flammable or poisonous, and these items must be disposed of safely in accordance with the regulations of the Municipality of South Dundas.

For SMALL quantities of household hazardous waste, the facility is OPEN weekdays (Monday to Friday) starting on May 15, 2023 to October 7, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There are no tipping or dumping charges for the disposal of hazardous waste at the facility, however residents are required to produce identification to confirm residency in South Dundas.
