Community Engagement

The residents of South Dundas have a variety of methods to engage within the community and contribute to the democratic process of local government.

Volunteering

Volunteers are a vital part of the local community. The Municipality has volunteer opportunities available as well as a number of opportunities in the community through services such as Dundas County Hospice, Community Food Share, Lions Clubs, and many more.

Community members can also apply to Committees of Council when openings occur. Committees of Council act as advisory groups on important community topics such as the waterfronts, tourism, economic development and youth.

Watch Council Meetings

One of the easiest ways to get involved in the Municipality is to watch the Council meetings. Videos are streamed live to the South Dundas Council YouTube Channel or can be viewed later. Regular meetings take place on the second and fourth Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. (Subject to change under special circumstances.) Special Council meetings and Committee of the Whole meetings will be advertised on the Notices
