MATILDA LANDFILL UPDATE - EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2024
Beginning July 1, 2024, the Matilda Landfill site will no longer be accepting Industrial, Commercial, or Institutional waste (IC&I).
IC&I Definition: Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Waste. Waste emanating from contractors, or industrial, commercial and institutional organization that is non-hazardous.
Institutional waste means all solid waste emanating from institutions such as, but not limited to, hospitals, nursing homes, orphanages, and public or private schools.
Industrial waste is the waste produced by industrial activity which includes any material that is rendered useless during a manufacturing process such as that of factories, mills, and mining operations.
Commercial waste can be defined as any waste other than domestic waste, produced by a business.
