NOTICE TO PASS A BY-LAW TO STOP UP & CLOSE AND SELL AN UNUSED PORTION OF UNOPENED ROAD ALLOWANCE
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of the Municipality of South Dundas proposes to enact a By-law to stop up and close and sell a portion of an unopened road (Duncan Street Extension) in Mariatown, South Dundas, Ontario, as follows:
PIN: Part of PIN 66129-0139, being part of Duncan Street, Plan 1, between Julia Street and the water's edge of the St. Lawrence River, Geographic Township of Williamsburg, Municipality of South Dundas, County of Dundas.
The proposed sale will come before Council for consideration on September 16, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers (2nd Floor), 34 Ottawa Street, Morrisburg, ON.
Any person who wishes to comment on, or object to, the proposed by-law may submit written comments to the undersigned Clerk by 4:30 p.m. on September 4, 2026, or may appear as a delegation at the Council meeting noted above. Written submissions, including the name and contact information of the person making them, will form part of the public record and may be included in the Council agenda package made available to the public, in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
The proposed by-law and a map showing the lands subject to closure may be requested from the Municipal Office during regular office hours.
