Over 8km of self-guided nature trails wind through the 9,000 hectares of wildlife habitat at the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Visitors to this popular natural attraction have the opportunity to view over 200 bird species, as well as a variety of other wildlife, in their natural habitats.
The Bird Sanctuary is located directly on the Waterfront Trail cycle path and features washrooms, an interpretive visitor centre and gift shop, outdoor picnic areas, and more. The trails are perfect for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing and there is a campground on-site to extend your nature-filled excursion!
